Sept 26th
When Scott finally got up here, he was starving so we decided to take him to the Apple Festival to get something to eat. That thought changed and we went to the Farmers Market. He loved walking around and checking out what everyone was selling. We all got something to eat from different vendors. Then we went to the Apple Festival. Scott also noticed that there was hardly any apple items there. STRANGE!

Scott has never seen our property in Newfield so we took him for a ride. PJ and Scott had a great time trying to find the markers on the property lines. The weeds were tall and very fluffy!

Scott said he was very impressed now that he got to see it in real life. Pictures never do it justice.
The sun has gone away and the clouds started rolling in. We bought some corn from Early Bird Farm down the road. By the time we started cooking dinner, the rain started. We sat there eating our dinner in the rain!

Sept 25th
We made it up to Ithaca in about 5 1/2 hours. We stopped for breakfast so that's why it took so long. The campsite was empty except for 2 huge trailers, one on site 35 and one on site 37. Naturally we reserved site 36! We went back to the office and got it switched to site 23. Much better! We set up the tent right away. It took maybe a good 10 minutes!
It was a beautiful day. The sun was shinning and the air was crisp. A perfect fall day! We left to head to the Apple Festival at the Ithaca Commons but decided to make a stop at Six Mile Creek first to relax with a nice glass of wine on their deck. It's such a relaxing peaceful setting.

The Apple Festival was pretty interesting. There were hardly any apples! It was mostly booths selling Philly Cheesesteak subs, Blooming Onions, Thai, etc.... maybe one or 2 booths with apples and apple products.
PJ and I got a potato pancake to share. The smell was just calling us over to them! They came with sour cream and applesauce. Delicious!
After the festival we walked around town etc... catching up.
We went out to eat at Viva Taqueria... one of our favorite places. We got a table outside and sat and people watched as we ate out Super Smothered Burritos! YUM. Viva Taqueria is right across the street from the Commons so we got to watch the people coming and going from there all the while listening to the bands playing. Looking up the street at other restaurants... everyone was eating outside. It was such a beautiful night..... until it started to get cold!
We made a fire when we got back. It's always nice sitting by a fire and watching the colors in the flames dance around.
We were SO COLD. I'm glad I brought an extra blanket with us!!!

Sept 24th
I packed up the car today for our camping trip to Ithaca. We are leaving at 6:15 tomorrow. Scott will drive up on Saturday.
