Aug 16th

Today was a scorcher of a day. You couldn't get to the beach in the morning unless you wanted to sit in bumper to bumper traffic and stand a chance of not getting in. We all decided that a cookout at the beach for dinner would be a great idea. We got down to the beach at 4:45. We got in to Field 6 but there were no grills left and we also couldn't find a parking spot! We left Field 6 in search of other grills. We were surprised to see Field 3 open because it was supposed to be closed because of state budget cuts. The field was FILLED! We ended up at Field 2. It was PACKED! I couldn't believe that people weren't going home yet! We found a parking lot and had to walk with out cooler etc to the grills in between fields 2 & 3. I couldn't believe the lines that we saw at the pavillion. The line to use the water/shower thing had about 30-40 people on it. The line for the food came out of the pavillion and went past the people on line for the water thing!There had to be about 60 people on that line!

We got to the grill area at the perfect time. There was a grill open and a family was leaving that took the picnic table from the spot where the grill was. So we moved that table over and grabbed an other one.

PJ got the grill on and then everyone went for a swim while I sat guarding the tables. (I forgot to put my bathing suit on!)While sitting there I noticed something... I was the only person there that spoke English! SURPRISE! SURPRISE! Not only did they not speak English but they also didn't know the meaning of putting their garbage in the garbage pails. As each family was leaving I happened to notice all the cups, cans and junk that they left behind. I just don't get it!

The crew came back and we started making grilled pizzettes. I brought a bunch of toppings so everyone could make their own. Delicious!

Then we had burgers, hotdogs and mac and potato salads. As we were eating, PJ got this strange look on his face. He then proceeded to tell us that the lady in the green 2 piece swim suit behind Scott and Ashlea had just pulled down her suit and squat in the sand where she proceeded to pee!!! She then pulled up her suit and went back to lay down on theblanket!!! WTH?

After dinner we went home to start a fire in the firepit. Alyssa invited K.O. over and everyone made smores. Scott started breaking off the arms of the rocking chair that was saved for firewood!
